About The Advantage Plan Man
Hi, I’m Jesse Lancaster — The Advantage Plan Man
For many years, I’ve been helping people just like you navigate Medicare Advantage and prescription drug plans with confidence. What started as a job quickly became my passion. I love what I do, and I’m proud to have helped hundreds of Medicare beneficiaries save hundreds — sometimes even thousands — of dollars each year on their prescriptions and healthcare costs.
Whether I’m sitting at someone’s kitchen table or helping them over the phone, my goal is always the same: to cut through the confusion and find the plan that truly fits their doctors, medications, and budget. I’m a one-man operation by choice. That means when you work with me, you’re not just another lead — you’re talking directly to the person who actually knows your situation and cares about getting you the best outcome.

Know your enrollment window
When can you enroll in or change Medicare coverage?
The right enrollment period depends on whether you are new to Medicare, already have a Medicare Advantage plan, or qualify because of a life event. These federal enrollment windows apply; plan availability still varies by ZIP code.
Around your Medicare start date
Initial Enrollment Period
Your first opportunity to join a Medicare health or drug plan generally begins three months before you get Medicare and ends three months after. You need both Part A and Part B to join a Medicare Advantage plan.

Medicare Open Enrollment
You can join, drop, or switch Medicare Advantage or Medicare drug plans. You can also switch between Original Medicare and Medicare Advantage. Changes generally take effect January 1.
January 1–March 31
Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment
If you are already enrolled in Medicare Advantage, you can make one change to another Medicare Advantage plan or return to Original Medicare. This period cannot be used to move from Original Medicare into Medicare Advantage.
Timing varies
Special Enrollment Periods
Certain events—such as moving, losing qualifying coverage, or changes in Medicaid or Extra Help eligibility—may let you join or change a plan outside the regular windows. The allowed changes and deadline depend on the event.
These plan enrollment periods are different from some Part A and Part B sign-up periods. Confirm your personal dates and options on Medicare.gov’s enrollment guide or call 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227).
